How to Add Products to the Catalog #

There are two ways to populate your product catalog in BillEase: adding items individually or importing them in bulk.

Option 1: Manual Entry #

Use this method to add single items one by one.

  1. Navigate to Items: Click on the Items tab in the left-hand menu.
  2. Add New: Click the Add New Item button located in the top-right corner.
  3. Enter Item Details: Fill in the required fields in the form:
    • Item Name
    • Category: Assign a category for easier reporting.
    • Pricing: Enter the Cost Price and Selling Price.
    • Status:
      • Select Active if the product is currently available for sale.
      • Select Draft if the product is out of stock or not ready to be sold yet.
  4. Save: Click the Create Item button. The product is now instantly available in your catalog.

Option 2: Bulk Import (CSV) #

Use this method to upload a large inventory list at once.

Note: The Bulk Import feature is available exclusively on the Pro Plan.

  1. Click on the Items tab in the left-hand menu and Select Import: Click on the Import option.
  2. Prepare Your Data:
    • Crucial Step: Download the Sample File provided.
    • Format your data exactly according to the sample CSV headers to ensure a successful upload.
  3. Upload: Select your prepared CSV file and complete the import process.
