How to Add Products to Inventra #

There are two efficient ways to add products to your inventory: Manual Entry for individual items or Bulk Import for large datasets.

Option 1: Manual Entry #

Use this method to add single products one by one.

  1. Navigate to Add Product: Click the Add Product button located in the top-right corner of the dashboard.

  2. Enter Product Details: Fill in the required fields in the pop-up form.

    • Product Name: (e.g., Ergonomic Keyboard)

    • SKU: Enter a unique Stock Keeping Unit (e.g., EK-001)

    • HSN Code: Enter the Harmonized System of Nomenclature code (e.g., 847160)

    • Pricing: Enter the Cost Price (USD) and Selling Price (USD).

    • Inventory: Set the current Stock Quantity and Reorder Level.

    • Tax: Input the applicable Sales Tax Rate (%).

  3. Save: Click the Add Product button at the bottom of the form to save the item to your inventory.


Option 2: Bulk Import (CSV) #

Use this method to upload multiple products at once.

Note: The Bulk Import feature is available exclusively on the Pro Plan.

  1. Initiate Import: Click the Import button in the top-right corner.

  2. Prepare Your Data:

    • Crucial Step: Download the Sample File provided in the import window.

    • Ensure your CSV file headers match the sample file exactly to avoid errors.

  3. Upload and Import: Select your prepared CSV file and click Import Items. This will populate your Inventra database with the new items.
